French Minimum Income Benefit
/ What is this form?
The RSA (Revenu de Solidarité Active) is France's minimum income guarantee for people aged 25 and over who have little or no income. The 2024 rate is €635.71/month for a single person with no income. Rates increase for couples and households with children.
RSA recipients are required to commit to an 'insertion' (reintegration) pathway — meeting with advisors and actively seeking employment or training. Benefits are adjusted every 3 months based on income declarations.
For EU citizens, eligibility requires either 5 years of continuous residence in France or prior work history in France. Non-EU nationals generally need a valid work permit and 5 years of legal residence.
